What Separates You from Success with Content Marketing

If you’re wondering whether or not content marketing is the right way to go for you and your business, there are some things you might want to consider that could help you make up your mind. These factors can also have a big impact on whether your content marketing plan is a success or failure.

  • While the main reason that people tend to follow their favorite brands on social media is for interesting content, most won’t make it past the headline. Only about 20% of readers actually go on to read the website content.
  • Traditional marketing costs two-thirds more than content marketing does for a business and yet 52% of marketers still feel confined by their budgets.
  • The vast majority of business-to-consumer marketers use content marketing, but most don’t believe that their employees are fully equipped to get the most out of the practice.
  • Although 68% of survey respondents intend to using blogging as an online marketing tool, fewer than half have a blog that’s been optimized for mobile and less than 10% have full-time help for producing blogs.
  • When they were asked to choose one outlet for content marketing, 54% of the marketers surveyed picked Facebook, but many feel that their social media efforts haven’t been useful overall.
  • A full 92% of marketers know that social media is vital to their success, but only one-third think that they have seen a measurable return on their investments from that marketing forum.
