Without the two your content would fall short. While art appeals to the emotions; science involves strategy. Your brain will process visual information faster than analytical data; but you’ll need the facts to help you figure out what works.

The Art (Right Brain)

Through words, visual displays, tactful marketing, and fresh ideas you’ll want to capture your audience so that you can keep them coming back for more.  According to the researcher David Hyerle, 90% of the information that the brains process is visual. The truth is we like to see things that are visually attractive versus flooding the page with a bunch of facts and statistics. We like easy get to the point marketing. So as a content marketer you need to create content that will appeal to your audience, it has to stand out among the competition, it has to completely tell the story you want to convey, and you’ll want unique content.

The Science (Left Brain)

Just like you’ll need a compelling visual component to appeal to your audience; you’ll also need a strategic plan to get them to subscribe, buy, or follow you along your path. As a content marketer you’ll want your content to define your overall strategy; you’ll use this strategy to make sure that what you are doing is continuing to work for you, if not you’ll need a new one. A good strategy ensures that you continue to see growth in sales. Companies with a defined content strategy have an average click-through rate of 30% higher than ones without, and the top companies are 58% more likely to track the performance of specific content.
